For my theme i chose cupcakes because they are delicious and easy to draw. I decided to do different types of cupcakes, there are a lot of different kinds. Based off of the type of cupcakes there are lot of colors. Each page has a cupcake quote that goes with the theme and gives my zine more patterns.

Dry Point Etching

I chose this picture because I love the fall and the colors of the leaves are very pretty. It was very hard to get every detail in the picture but in the end with the watercolors you could tell it was leaves and that the leaves are in fall. The ink process was very frustrating because the ink got everywhere, but it turned out pretty cool when it was finished.

Artist Statement

This project was easier than the last one. It was easier to carve and ink. It took me a little longer to do because the carving was more detailed and was harder to get every line perfect. Overall it was a good project, I liked that we got different color options to ink with instead of just black like the last project. I also liked that the ink was washable because it got  a little messy towards the end. I chose to do this picture because my hair looked super cool but when i got to carving myself out i started to look ugly and didn't look like me. The finished product was okay, I realized that everyone had the same outcome as me.

Silk Screen Printing

This project was very annoying but it turned out pretty cool. We had to come up with a design then print it on a clear sheet. We then had to use the light lamp and put it on our screen that we stretched, Then we picked out colors for it and started printing on some paper to test how it would look. We didn't have to do a t-shirt but I did because I liked our design.

Experimental

This Project was really fun and easy! We used a jelly plate to do this project. First i put pink on the Jelly Plate and grabbed a piece of paper and put it on the plate, then I took it off. Then i put purple on the plate and put my shapes on top. After that I put the paper back on the plate, Next i put blue on the plate and re put the shapes in a different pattern. It was super cool to see how the inc transferred to the paper from the jelly plate.  My color school is analogous because all my colors are right next to each other on the color wheel.

Monoprinting

Block Printing

This project was super fun and easy we used an easy cut block that was so much better to cut from than our linocut project. I finished super early and had time to help others. I decided to cut a leaf out of the block because I love leaves and my names Autumn! I also decided to use the color green because i like the look of it and it made a great design.
